FMC rules

Speed challenge:

§ The solve must be completed within 10 minutes of setting up the scramble on your cube.
§ Taking back moves during a solve is allowed but adds to the length of the solution.
§ Please write the solution with the move(s) and taken back move(s) included.
§ If changing a turn, it is not allowed to alter notation so as to achieve a cancellation.
§ In short, changing a turn counts as undoing a turn and adds to the length.
§ If overrun on time please do NOT submit any solution here. No further attempts are allowed!
§ The 10 minutes do NOT include submitting, nor writing down the solution. If move cancellations are achieved in notation, please include in the quote all the moves taken!

1 hr/classic challenge:

§ The WCA official regulations apply, where applicable. However unlimited number of cubes are allowed.
§ For classic challenge there is no 1 hr time limit. This allows to explore many more paths.
§ For classic challenge it is allowed to use the FMC companion.
§ The 1 hr challenge should always be done before the classic challenge.
§ The classic challenge solution may be a refinement of the 1 hr solution or completely independent :)

Cheating/unlikely solutions

§ Competitors face the risk of being silently banned.
§ All entries (all rounds and formats!!) by that competitor are automatically removed from the lists.
